This is just a quick upload to post some pictures I snagged from the event this past weekend out in Bellefonte/State College, PA. Joe, Alice, and I trekked out Friday night in a van Joe rented, the likes of which were still unfit to handle the stuff he crams into vehicles. But he managed to fit me, the stuff I was bringing, and his daughter into the minivan, though it had more of a wobbly Jenga tower vibe than a stable Tetris platform inside the van.
We arrived at a genuinely lovely B&B in Bellefonte, PA, Friday night. On Saturday and Sunday morning, they prepared delicious vegan breakfasts for me (with edible spicy flowers) and introduced us with warm, welcoming conversation to the other guests at the place. Which then turned into more visitors at the show later in the afternoon when they brought their families to the Faire because of our earlier conversations over breakfast. Unexpected, but it’s always nice to see people you meet in more congenial settings become real people when you then see them outside in the world in less prescribed places you had met them and would have tended to interact.
I can’t say much for the event as I didn’t get to venture beyond my assigned loft at the Axeman Brewery location. But again, I could add more details to this post, but I’ll leave it at this, “It was a lovely weekend and I will cherish my memories and thank all the signatories of my yearbook for helping me remember those memories.”
