WORLDWRAITH
A monster truck to defy all monsters. Often seen towing the LAUNCHBOX mobile rocket command behind it, this four-wheel driving, four-wheel steering, two-speed supercharged behemoth is piloted by a remote Sophos Unit-01 model with a co-driver by its side. While the true pilot works remotely through a Unit-01 model Sophos, the identity of the co-driver present in the passenger seat is kept concealed, face covered by a white draped cloth (this specific imagery was derived from a misinterpretation of the forgotten term “wight”). The goal was to protect the identities of those that drove the WORLDWRAITH, as this vehicle was once the summoned executioner of all those who would stand in the way of collective peace; and if an oppressive machine designed to tear down the machines of oppression cannot be stopped, its drivers would be targeted instead. Especially when out of the vehicle. So, anonymity was of the utmost concern. WORLDWRAITH was relied upon heavily during the [1st Era] and it is currently thought to be the oldest known vehicle within WASTEWORLD. No one knows if it is still capable of leading the assault on the establishment like it had in generations past—and some wonder if it can even move or be driven at all. But for the reign of peace throughout WASTEWORLD we have WORLDWRAITH to thank.
WORLDWRAITH: The Polearm of the Proletariat, the Unknowable Menace, Destroyer of Destroyers, Eater of the Rich, the Iron Glove of the Velvet Hand, and the vehicle that brought peace to WASTEWORLD! Thank you, WORLDWRAITH!

DOOM BUGGY
The burly-yet-swift scout of the WASTEWORLD vehicular arsenal, the DOOM BUGGY is a versatile 3-person vehicle, also known as a Tactical, with a rotating 360° cannon turret and elevating platform. The body was built atop an old Dune Chaser chassis and while it’s not an optimally stable platform across all terrain, it is quick and stable “enough” across a wide selection of terrains. With room for a driver, co-driver, and gunner in the back, one might think it was intended as an offensive weapon. But while it was developed in the [2nd Era], the proliferation of its use heightened in the [3rd Era], proving capable as an anti-explosives demolitions vehicle. It could be dispatched quickly to any reclaimed territories thought to have buried explosive mines and other unknown warfare munitions. When the cannon was loaded with a detonation cord it acted as way to clear narrow paths through a suspected mine field. The detonation cord (also called Detcord) is a cable of highly explosive material that, once detonated, caused a continuous explosion along its length that traveled incredibly fast, the whole length seemingly exploding instantaneously, forcing a swath of concussive blasts and dispatching any nearby explosive mines. However, because the projectile was still just a simple cannon, the method proved difficult to aim and unreliable when compared to its successor, the T.O.W. missile launched from atop the TOWTRUCK. Despite this, the DOOM BUGGY served a valuable function thanks to its low cost, ease of use, speed, and adaptability, all of which helped the spread of these swift vehicles throughout WASTEWORLD when their aid was needed most. Though, once their purpose had been served—and once their successor came to the fore—many were left to languish, unused and in disrepair. They are often seen dotting the landscape between the Mounds, their cannons now uniformly decommissioned and rendered incapable of firing anything. But some people still speak of a few models, a rogue DOOM BUGGY here and there, seen scooting along the outskirts of the Landfills, loaded to the brim with fireworks and harmless munitions, putting on shows as temporary reprieve from the toil and fine labor of those within, firing like swiftly moving silhouettes in the shadows of the Mounds, bringing smiles from all around. Then, with the show commenced, they are said to rip, roar, and tear almighty ass out of there, hooting and hollering like the peace-fairing rebels of yore.
“Fire, boom, and blast. Rip ’em all to Hell! Boom, boom, boom goes the DOOM BUGGY!”
(Children’s rhyme, taken from Notebook of the WASTEWORLD WANDERER, no. 6)

TOWTRUCK
The failed concept military vehicle, abandoned and forgotten, given new life at the beginning of the [3rd Era] when a need arose for more reliable minefield clearing vehicles that could be dispatched quickly and operated entirely remotely by a 2-person squad for months on end in the Lands Between the Mounds. While the newest vehicle in the armament of all people, the TOWTRUCK is in fact one of the oldest from its original date of manufacturing. No one knows how these existed in their current pristine condition for as long as they did, but their rollout was almost as swift as the vehicles themselves after the discovery of their stockade. Able to handle a variety of terrain at a high rate of speed, the drivetrain and suspension proved to be simpler and more adept at field service than any previously utilized models throughout the WASTEWORLD conflicts and Abolition on the Abuses of Power. The portmanteau and namesake comes from the manufactured versions’ addition of a standardized western military’s T.O.W. missile launcher concept. While the original T.O.W. missile was known for a cable line in “tow” of the fired missile that provided guidance, the current iteration used on the TOWTRUCK makes use of a ballistic projectile carrying a Detcord line behind it to detonate the buried and improvised explosive devices that littered the Lands Between the Mounds at the conclusion of the [2nd Era]. As the work-life of this vehicle nears its completion, and as the 2-person squads that were assigned as the vehicle’s attachment reach the conclusion of their work, the launch mechanisms are removed as armaments. And, once their service is finished, the squad and the vehicles are afforded the opportunity to simply drive, a life’s purpose fulfilled, and a retirement of pure freedom. A “recommissioned” decimmissioned TOWTRUCK unshackled from its purpose is a helluva fun toy, able to supply unfettered adventure to the retired 2-person attachment and their hearts’ content, as the drivers of a TOWTRUCK retired from active service often become like pioneers of a world that is no longer settled—adventuring across an adventurous frontier in a machine built for adventure.
- Chassis and body built out of an original Tamiya XR-311 model RC vehicle
- Build was intended as a challenge, maintaining original look while packing all the electronics inside
- This is a co-op toy, with drive controls separated from launch controls and controlled by two people
- Two FPV action figures can be placed in the seats, one does the driving and the other aims/fires
- The tube-launched missiles use a 1/8A model rocket motor housed in 4mm aluminum tubes
- Remote launch of missiles accomplished by using one (1) 320mah 4-cell Li-Po battery and igniters
- Vehicle powered by a 2-cell Li-Po battery with stock Tamiya brushed motor
- The launch tubes/field of view operate within ~145o left/right, and level to +30o up/down
SWEEPZ
Standard issue street sweeper for the Cheap SuckTM sanitation and disposal company. Thought to be a [1st Era] relic, this model was in production before then and originally operated in civil service and at various municipalities. After being retired, it was likely sold to the to the private operator Cheap SuckTM and had its paint swapped from government issued palette and private operator logos applied. Its presence in this collection is a bit of a conundrum as it could only be operated on and provide service to meticulously maintained roadways and macadam of a bygone period. The lack of suspension and low ground clearance make it unsuitable for traversing any distances in the Lands Between the Mounds or even as a procession vehicle due to its lack of accessible platforms or weight-bearing surfaces. However, the vacuum chamber and motor that drives it still works, and the vehicle can putz along on tamped and level ground well enough still. So the refuse these pick up throughout the Lands Between can be traded at the Landfill gates and attached sorting facilities, which will always be an important job and source of extraneous material types for reclamation and “refusal” (reusable refuse). Indeed, this may be a peculiar addition to this collection, but a sturdy monument to how we got to where we are nonetheless. And that makes it more than worthy of its place here (however baffling it may be given its company).
“We suck it up for less!”
-Cheap SuckTM

LAUNCHBOX
The centerpiece to centralized peace. A mobile platform towed by WORLDWRAITH capable of launching two surface-to-air rockets and operated by a small squad of two people. Originally developed before the [1st Era] for use as a military defensive stratagem against incoming enemy air combatants, it has since been converted into a ballistic rocket launcher to act as a deterrent against ground targets with a Sophont gunner to target it. All internal guidance methods have been removed from launcher and the payload. Essentially, only the robots (Sophos) can effectively fire one of these rockets now, seated in the gunner’s chair, and able to run the ballistic trajectories. It’s an antique of a prior era, though it is known to still work.
- Remotely launches two 1/8A motor rockets
- Designed around rocketshipgames.com “R4/Brett” models
- Gunner chair and rocket capsule driven by separate controls, mixed to run in unison via transmitter
- Small H.U.D. of the Star Wars “trench run” can be seen playing through the FPV gunner’s screen\
- Mechanically operated by a 2-cell Li-Po battery and one 4-cell Li-Po battery for rocket ignition
- This entire thing was designed around Rocketship Game’s R4 model rocket kit
- Uses 8 independent servos providing full 360o horizontal and 180o vertical rotations
- Average height of model rockets launched is between 75 and 100 feet
FIRETRUCK
A literal firetruck. Not like those other ones filled with water. This one is filled with flames. Well, combustible fuel. Honestly, not all of the WASTEWORLD vehicles are good ideas. Some are just made to be cool. This one can fit three people including the driver, passenger, and someone to aim/operate the flamethrower standing in the bed of the FIRETRUCK, directing the backwards-facing arc of fire.
- Built from a Panda Hobby 6×6 chassis with a Yamaha Rhino diecast body cut and lengthened
- Working 6×6 all-wheel drive
- Flamethrower has a 100o horizontal rotation and 30o vertical aiming
- Uses a self-priming pump to push the gasoline through the vehicle’s plumbing
- Has an arc lighter ignition that “safely” ignites the fuel away from the plastic bits
- Custom brass hose and nozzle
- Additional animatic handcrank for the figure operating the flamethrower
- Can go through about 18oz of gasoline flames in about 45 seconds
- Denatured alcohol was first fuel used, but burned invisible and was dangerous
- Now using gasoline for a more blackbody burn as the stream arcs towards targets
TONKA 1, 2, & 3
The go-to vehicle for individual exploration, fun, and general antics in WASTEWORLD, these capable dogs are the vehicle of choice for every scout working the Landills. And outside of work vehicles, these are often seen as recreation vehicles roaming the valleys of the Lands Between the Mounds. They can fit one or two people, can tow trailers and other small craft, or can be used in the jousting format for a bit of light competition (if exploration isn’t your thing).
- Made from discarded Tonka quad toys made from plastic (nobody wants plastic Tonka toys)
- Each one has four-wheeled drive
- Animatronic handlebars using additional servos connecting to the steering channel
- Capable of quick-swap for FPV animatronic action figures and able to capture the FPV experience
- These are the most heavily play-tested toys and are the go-to for anyone new to WASTEWORLD toys
- Each of these have different rack-mounted equipment to add and have a 1w LED for headlights
